LCR Connect is a joint venture that will deliver a 212km full-fibre, ultrafast, gigabit-capable network infrastructure across the Liverpool City Region.
It is half-owned by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, in partnership with North West-based ITS Technology Group and construction partner NGE, who are managing the build and roll-out of the network.
The Combined Authority’s aim is to ensure that everyone benefits from the decisions it makes. It wants to create an environment which allows the economy to thrive for the good of everyone who lives and works in Liverpool City Region.
They work to make investments in areas that have a real impact on communities, such as transport, employment, culture, digital and housing. By using the devolved powers, it can make a real and meaningful difference to the lives of the people living and working in the area.
The Combined Authority is led by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and brings together Liverpool City Region’s six local authorities – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral – to tackle the big issues that matter, together.
ITS is dedicated to providing the UK with the best full fibre networks, providing the best gigabit capable connectivity and broadband to UK businesses through a growing channel partner community encompassing reseller partners and wholesale partners.
Through innovative infrastructure, the company is creating a nationwide Faster Britain full fibre network that ensures UK businesses, communities and channel partners are always at the forefront of those advances.
ITS is connecting the UK and beyond by building and operating the fastest, most robust and future-proof fibre networks, and not conforming to convention.
When they build networks, they minimise disruption, reusing existing infrastructure wherever possible to maximise speed and efficiency. They also work with their partners to develop the building of network.
This means your business is up and running and better connected in no time at all and our dedicated team will engineer it the best possible way for you.
Around the world, NGE teams design, build and renew infrastructure and buildings to the benefit of the regions. Thanks to their expertise and ability to work together, the Group’s 14,500 employees are addressing and anticipating changes in their businesses with confidence by being close to their clients.
With a turnover of €2.5 billion, NGE is an independent French company, which develops its activities in the construction industry and is involved in the construction of major infrastructure, and urban or local projects, in 17 countries worldwide, with a proven track record in fibre optic rollout. It is one of the top four players in France.
